\nhas more makeup on than all of The View<\/em> co-hosts combined!<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Picture it \u2013 Guayaquil, Ecuador.  Our Lady of Perpetual <\/em><\/strong>Help<\/em><\/strong> Church<\/em><\/strong> in the Central Vicariate. Father Patricio Alfredo Sanchez Molinari <\/strong>was leading the Mass.  One moment, he\u2019s talking about the fleeting nature of life.  The next, BOOM!  The giant crucifix above the altar collapsed right on the priest, killing him instantly.  Whether you believe in signs or not, this sure seems like one.  I\u2019m not quite sure what it was a sign of.  Certainly it\u2019s a sign that there wasn\u2019t any help (perpetual or otherwise).  People always look to God for answers.  But sometimes the answers might not be what they were expecting.  Somewhere, I bet Pete Hegseth <\/strong>was gleefully watching.<\/p>\n

\nPeople often say they would give up parts of their body to look like someone they perceive as overly attractive.  Like I might say, \u201cI\u2019d give up my left testicle to look like Brad Pitt<\/strong>\u201d \u2013 I opted for the left testicle because it\u2019s the right one that usually is complimented.  But would I give up my large intestine to look like Joe Manganiello<\/strong>?  Because that\u2019s part of his story.  Joe went public with his harrowing medical journey in a new memoir \u2013 because you have a lot of time on your hands when you\u2019re recuperating from a life-threatening illness.  In Bloodlines<\/em><\/strong>, this is how he describes the 2016 operation: \u201cIn the days following the amputation of my large intestine, my weight began to plummet.  I would ultimately lose a total of 60 lbs. during the two weeks following surgery.\u201d  He also reveals that a shaman told then-wife Sofia Vergara <\/strong>she was the cause of his maladies.  \u201cSomeone from your past is still in love with you.  He put a voodoo curse on your husband.\u201d I\u2019m not particularly superstitious, but if I were Joe, I\u2019d be careful around any large, hanging religious objects!<\/p>\n

I was friends with the talented musician Lucian Piane<\/strong>, who many of you know from RuPaul\u2019s Drag Race<\/em><\/strong>.  He alienated many of his colleagues around 2016 with a number of erratic social media posts, which he later blamed on \u201cmarijuana psychosis\u201d.  In more recent years, he was dealing with mental illness and substance abuse.  We last communicated on his birthday, which was two weeks ago.  In the days preceding his death, he posted increasingly disturbing messages and videos.  One of his last posts said, \u201cNot a single person will help me.  I HATE YOU ALLLLLLLLLLLL.  When I\u2019m sober and recovering, you ABANDON ME!!!!!!\u201d  That was followed up with, \u201cSo now I\u2019m homeless!  Horrible people\u201d.  A day later, he was taken into custody by the Glendale Police Department<\/em><\/strong> after assaulting an officer.  And the next day, he was found dead on the side of a road suffering \u201cblunt trauma\u201d after being struck by a vehicle.  With all his years of struggle and pain, I hope he finally found peace.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
