Picture it – a world where being in a same-sex couple is the norm and being in an opposite-sex couple is unusual.  That kinda happened last week on Dancing with the Stars.  Nyle DiMarco (from America’s Next Top Model) was asked by his partner for the week, Sharna Burgess, if he’d ever been hurt in a relationship.  Nyle said (through his interpreter), “Yeah, I was in a 10-year relationship.”  Sharna followed up by asking, “And was he deaf as well?”  Nyle responded, “SHE was deaf”.  Sharna, somewhat mortified, said, “She.  Sorry.  Why did I say he?  I’m sorry.  I didn’t mean it that way.”  It was an honest mistake – Nyle is handsome, talented, and artistic.  You’d think he’s gay, but he actually calls himself “sexually fluid” – which sounds terrible unsanitary to moi!
