Baubles, Bangles and Birdie
The legendary Ann-Margret is auctioning off some of her baubles, bangles and beads. These include a colorful assortment of frocks for stage, screen, and just dusting around the house. Many are by Bob Mackie, but there are a few Nolan Miller and Elizabeth Courtney items thrown in. There’s a red, white, and blue bodysuit which she apparently wore to the White House in 1975 (pre-Bicentennial), a bangled number which she wore to sing to President John F. Kennedy, and even a black satin dress worn to the 1977 Academy Awards, which is only slightly diminished in value because she let Sabrina Carpenter wear it to a Met Gala dinner. But it’s not just clothes. She’s even got a full-sized pinball machine commemorating her time in Tommy! And why not throw in an animated cel of her as Ann–Margrock! There’s also a lock of A-M’s hair for a collector who hopes to one day grow their own Ann-Margret! The Ann-Margret Collection hits Julien’s Auctions on June 23rd at 10AM Pacific.
