This column fills in a niche for many people – a niche rarely filled by other journalists.  For instance, did you know that August is National Anal Month?  You’re not going to get that from TMZ – although I suspect my pal Harvey Levin gets it regularly!  Certainly Falcon Studios knows all about anal.  The venerable gay porn studio has started a publishing house.  FalconINK plans to publish male-male erotic fiction with a twist – their target audience is women!  They are capitalizing on the success of the Heated Rivalry franchise, which began life as a series of books written by Rachel Reid.  “For the first time, we’re also creating content for one of the largest audiences in the M/M romance space: women.  No company is better positioned to tell accessible romantic and erotic stories than the one that has been doing it so successfully since 1971,” said CEO Tim Valenti.  I dunno if their thrust has always been “romantic and erotic stories” – although surely nothing says romance like the smell of a bustling urinal!

Congrats to Sam Smith on his engagement to Christian Cowan.  The couple has been dating since 2022.  Cowan is also a Brit, has his own fashion label, and has worked with numerous celebrities over the years.  No word on when the nuptials will take place, or if Cowan will design the trousseau.

As we went to press came word that WNBA star Brittney Griner and her wife Cherelle have filed for divorce.  Correction – Griner filed for divorce.  While I don’t normally take sides when it comes to situations I know nothing about, I would like to point out that Cherelle fought to get Griner released from a Russian prison for over 9 months.  You’d certainly think that would earn her a bit of grace.  Brittney is also requesting sole custody of their son.

There’s one romantic rumor we can quash.  Pedro Pascal is not dating OnlyFans model, Christian Hogue.  The two were spotted in the company of others on a yacht in Spain.  Lesser scribes took this as a sign of romance – or at the very least one of those “transactional relationships” that are so popular with the rich and famous.  Hogue commented on these rumors.  “I really don’t need to explain myself here but I am going to.  Many of you are spinning this into something it’s not and it’s just sad.  I am not gay nor am I for hire.  I have been welcomed to this boat as a friend for many years.  So it’s a damn shame to see how quickly everyone jumps to this conclusion when it couldn’t be farther from the truth.”  So there!
