Time to toot my own horn – which has been getting quite a bit of use lately.  Last week, I told you that plans were being hatched for Derek Hough to headline a Broadway revival of Singin’ in the Rain.  Moments after I filed that report, Miramax head honcho Harvey Weinstein announced that it was a fait accompli.  He made a deal to bring director Robert Carsen‘s production of the beloved musical to Broadway (it is currently a huge success in Paris).  Harvey sent Derek to Paris in January.  At the time, all Hough said was, “Heading to Paris to see a play”.  And the rest is, as they say, history.  Or l’histoire!  The Broadway production should open next January.   In the meantime, we can show you a preview of Derek in the show on BillyMasters.com.
